" I have a dream "


Martin Luther King.

Martin Luther King was the president of civil rights ( for his race.),
a member of the executive committee of National Association, and he accepted the leadership of the first great negro nonviolent demonstration of contemporary times in the USA. Martin was arrested over 22 times, assaulted over 4 times, and his house was bombed.
In 11 years he spoke to thousands of people, he spoke over 2500 times. He lead a massive protest in Birmingham, Alabama. It caught many peoples attention. He was awarded 5 honorary degrees, he was man of the year in 1963 by Time magazine. He was a symbolic leader for African Americans.


In Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968 while standing on the balcony of his motel room where he was going to lead a protest march in sympathy and striking garbage workers of Memphis, he was shot.
January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968.
